Here’s a funny story, so one of my agent’s is UK soul representative ‘Shades Of Soul’, called me up and asked if I would do a gig with them at the Blackpool Soul Weekender at the beginning of this year. My agent’s words were, ‘its for the s.o.s band’, me being me assumed s.o.s meant ‘Shades of soul’. I accepted the gig, thinking it was going to be a nice, easy, sailing through show with some nice, easy songs to learn…….then…..when I received the music, I realised there were duplications lf the songs on my iTunes. Songs such as, ‘just be good to me’, ‘The Finest’, ‘Just The Way You Like It’. Have you guys guessed my mistake yet? Yup! I had in face been asked to do a gig with none other that soul legends SOSband.

Now, it was at this point that my nerves started to build. Lol. I have worked with so many legends in my time, so it is rare that I get a little star struck…however, this was one of those times. To have been asked to perform with them was such an honour. The show was unforgettable. An experience that will be with me forever.
